Mensagem:  You write: "All my clothes are tighter than usual. So, I realized I gained weight during vacation." .................. (1) All my clothes are tighter than usual. So, I realize I gained weight during vacation. (Vacation has ended. Note that "realize" takes place in the present and "gained" in the past.) (2) All my clothes are tighter than usual. So, I realize I've gained weight during vacation. (Vacation has not ended yet. Note that "realize" takes place in the present and "have gained" in the past.) (3) All my clothes were tighter than usual. So, I realized I'd gained weight during vacation. (Vacation has ended. You noticed at some point in the past that your clothes were tighter than usual, you then you realized that at some earlier point you had gained some weight. Or....you gained weight during vacation (now ended) > your clothes fit more tightly > a realization then took place about your gain in weight.)
