Mensagem:  Hey Nobre, if you familiar with the language (I mean you can read fairly comfortably) try The English Verb -- Michael Lewis, LTP. The book may be controversal for he advocates that the English verb system is quite logical and is different from what many people think the system should work. (1) English has no future tense. (2) There are only two genuine tenses in English: Present and Past the others are aspects of the language. (3) It's not helpful thinking about moods in English. (4) Modals are about the psychological judgements, opinions not facts. If my dear MR was here, he could much better than me explain the whole thing, for he was the one who introduced me to such thing, you mind looking for old posts you will find me, Pat and him discussing on the matter.
