Mensagem:  Since this is not a so common practice around the world, you'll have to combine/create expressions, based on "traffic control system", "license plate-based traffic regulations", etc. If you really have to depict yourself in this situation, you can use something like "my driving day off" and explain it. Actually, since this situation is so typical of São Paulo, and in order to go through it, you oughta be here, you can say that, "yesterday" was your "rodizio" day and explain what it is.
