The above is an interesting website showing some of the differences between British, Canadian, and American vocabularies.
If someone finds a good website comparing the grammars of American English and British English, please share it with me.
When Brazilians talk of studying overseas, I hope that they are taking into consideration what they plan to do with English once they learn to speak it well. If they will be dealing mainly with Australians, it makes little sense to study English in the USA. If they will be dealing with Americans, studying English in the United Kingdom makes little sense. If an American were planning to live in Rio, would you send him to Lisbon to study Portuguese?
