Mensagem:  "Tenderfoot" is a cowboy term for someone new to the West. The Boy Scouts of several countries adopted it to mean a new Scout. (Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class Scout, First Class Scout, Star Scout, and Eagle Scout. The award of "Scout" is a "give-away" in the US that can be earned in one or two meetings. I haven't found an equivalent in other countries.) In cowboy lingo, a "sugarfoot" is even inexperienced for a tenderfoot. A "sugarfoot" should have stayed home with the knitting and tea with the girls.
