Mensagem:  In a sense it might reflect the reality of "many" brazucas living in America, but it does not reflect the whole picture. What people have to realize is that Globo in an international enterprise, and a soap-opera such as America sells really well for the Latin American/Hispanic community living in the U.S. - it is just a couple of years - if not months - for Globo to launch America dubbed in Spanish and collect high fees on copyrights. And then America will atract millions of viewers all acrosso the Globe. We have to understand that soap-operas are an exageration of reality, even though at times they may aproach social issues, most times they are just ways away from reality. The other day an american told me the following: "My wife is hispanic and she loves watching hispanic soap-operas and it seems like there's no poverty in Latin America, at least soap operas don't show it. They show millionaries, living in mansions by the sea, every household has a couple of servants, they drive Mercedez-Benz, and so forth". That guy knows that what latin/hispanic soap-operas portray are way beyond reality. Same goes for America, it only borders reality but it is still far from it. Reality for foreigners in the U.S. is not exactly the way Globo portrays it, there's a lot of hard work but there are rewards too. Liz
