Mensagem:  Bom dia: Can someone help me understand if a translation of my resume done several years ago was done correctly; specifically, when I used the third person in English (although in English it referred to what I had done -- the past tense of the verbs beginning each entry) and it was translated in the third person in Portugese, which to me looks like it means someone else did it. I will put a few examples here. My original: • Wrote “Tips for Dictation” to improve claims representatives’ skills and “Minimal Word Perfect Instructions” to assist unit managers with beginning computer use. • Composed detailed guide to Timeslips/WP conversion procedures. • Completed special assignment of rewriting and re-typing orientation packet. Translation: • Escreveu “Dicas para tomar ditado” para aperfeiçoar as habilidades de agentes de pedido de indenização, e “Pequenas Instruções para a utilização do software Word Perfect” a fim de auxiliar gerentes de unidade na iniciação do uso do computador. • Compôs um guia detalhado para os procedimentos de conversão do Timeslips/WP. • Executou uma tarefa especial de reescrever e datilografar novamente um pacote de orientações. It also doesn't look to me like "dicas para tomar ditado" refers to the fact that this was a guide FOR claims representatives to assist in THEIR dictation habits (on the give side not the take side) but that the title appears to indicate a guide to a secretary who would be taking/transcribing the dictation, even tho' it is explained afterwards. Also, are these translations accurate as they relate to the medical reports since I understand there's no real equivalent for the job of "medical transcriptionist" in Brazil. Engish original: • Medical transcription experience includes production-oriented transcribing of outpatient reports . . . Also have experience in hospital ER transcription, outpatient surgery reports, and radiology. Translation (and is "possui" correct here?) • Experiência com transcrição de documentos médicos inclui transcrição voltada para a produção de prontuários de pacientes não-internados . . . Também possui experiência na transcrição de prontuários de Pronto Socorro, relatórios de pacientes não-internados e radiologia. Well, when time. I understand the world is focused on O Papa agora. Eu tambe'm. Obrigada para qualquer ajuda e' oferecida a (à??) mim, Ana
