Colorir would be to color in, isn´t it? I read somewhere that to color in is not a transitive (phrasal) verb, is that right? If this is right, how can I say colorir (as) figuras (??)?

Can I also use TO COLOR or TO PAINT isntead of to color in?

By figuras I mean skecths or just outlines of things.
