Mensagem:  «Plasticine is a putty-like modelling material; the word remains a trademark but is used generically. In the US, the generic term modeling clay is much more widely used, and many people are not quite sure what "plasticine" is, although the particular brand is available. Portanto, em português é argila.» Rodolfo, there may be a difference in modelling clay and modelling dough. The characteric of modeling dough is that it stays soft ( can be re-used). I think that in toys like pottery wheels for children they use a clay ('argila') which hardens. While dough may be called massa in Brazil and plasticina in Portugal, clay which hardens may be argila.
