Assunto:  Give out vs. Give up
Mensagem:  Not so curiously, W3 gives the PV _give out_ as meaning, in one of its senses, "to make known to or as if to the public : DECLARE, PUBLISH."

Still according to W3, in one of its senses the PV _give up_ means "to make public : REVEAL."

Can we use these two interchangeably in the sense that they seem to share?

A certain business concern does not _give up_ the names of its clients, BUT could it _give_ them _out_ instead?

You should not _give out_ your full name and any geographical information about yourself. What about "... _give up_ your full name..."? Will a good soul help Márcio sort this out, please?

Thank you.
