Mensagem:  Hi again, Ricky! To quote from one of your e-mails: "How long have you lived there / How long have you been living there ( tanto faz) or How long did you live there?" All 3 are OK – You can ask this question in all of these ways, though the last (did) does indeed imply that the person no longers live there. The other questions would usually imply that you still live there (a place other than where you are asking/answering the question – say at an airport meeting someone). Vamos usar "here": How long have you lived here? How long have you been living here? This implies that the person is still living in this place. How long did you live here? This would mean that the person lived in this place before and maybe is just visiting again or has just moved back. Let me know if this helps, Ricardo.
