Mensagem:  to say "i go playing ..." does sound strange if i say "i go walking/running/riding etc" each "-ing" form is very specific - in contrast with playing further, it seems redundant - why not just say "i play" there's no need for both go and play - surely this is the 'un-mothertongue' english aspect - english, unlike some languages, tends to be snappy and concise
