Mensagem: | Tom, thanks. What about the other sentences? Are they correct? 'Can I leaf through the newspapaer? Can I browse through the pages?' This might help Ana, that is trying to improve her Portuguese: virar as paginas: to turn the pages folhear as paginas: you´re turning the pages but, actually, implies that you will probably read only a few sentences from this page. Then, you turn the page and do the same (read only a few sentences). You will do the same with some other pages too. You´re are not going very deep in your reading. The verb 'folhear' exists in Port. It is also common when you refer to 'coating'; such as 'golden coating- folheado a ouro'; just a thin layer of gold (or some other product) on the surface. |
