When we talk about pain we must use the word "ache" for most of the parts of the body, and "sore" for another parts of the body. Is there any specific rule for these words? For example: I have a backache. I have sore eyes. I have a stomachache. I have sore muscles. Sometimes I use "ache" and sometimes I use "sore". How do I know which one to use? Does it depend on the part of the body or the kind of pain? |
