Mensagem: | Miguel Hm...Now I got what you meant, because it sounded very harsh and close-minded on the last message, anyway Brazil is not "one hundred times worse", it depends much on which Brazilian region you focus on, if you take separately the HDI (Indice de Desenvolvimento Humano, I don't know if the acronym is correct in English) the southern States (Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul) can be comparable to some Western European countries, althought when it comes to the Northeast..well I think it's needless to say. But the statistics you've shown are a proof of the bad distribution in the US and things surely aren't any better or different here, 10% of the wealthiest have basically 90% of the wealth of Brazil. The main difference is as the US is much richer, the poors back there tend to be a in a better situation than the poor ones here. I am not a classical Socialist or Communist but I am very sympathetic and supporter of some Socialist ideas but by no means I believe in 100% of equality as every human being is different from the other by nature, therefore each one's objectives (happiness, social position, wealth) aren't the same.
