Mensagem:  MJD: > There is a slang term in English to describe people who root for a team only because the team is popular or is doing well. They're called "winner's fans." For example, if the American baseball team the New York Yankees were doing well and someone who never previously showed any interest in the team started wearing Yankees apparel and acting like a diehard fan, he/she would be a "winner's fan." As for a Portuguese word for the situation Márcio described, I'm not sure. Learned new words today, thanks to you! --> "winner's fans" and "wearing team X apparel" (= vestindo a camisa do time X)! And don't worry about the P word for it. As situationally as not, I have heard multiple word users exclaim, "Ele só torce pro time que tá ganhando". (= Such a winner's fan...) Valeu, MJD.
