Mensagem:  i have got (i've got) a car i have a car both mean pretty much the same thing there is however a difference i have got uses the perfect aspect (has/have auxiliary plus second verb form "got") - the perfect aspect introduces a sense of 'up-to-now' - perhaps in this case an announcement of a previously unknown fact i have a car is a simple statement of fact using the base tense form with no temporal modification the choice depends on speaker's meaning (plus geographic/cultural constraints)
