Assunto:  It takes
 
Mensagem:  Brazilian English learners tend to say "I took a long time to do my homework", "She takes too long to get dressed" etc, but I guess they are wrong, aren´t they ?
We should say:
"It takes me a long time, it takes her too long etc"...

But do we say:
"The news took a long time to sink in" or
"It took the news a long time to sink in" ?
