Mensagem:  Caro Jose,

Perhaps you know the answer to the mystery of why some Port. words that end with "-ao" , such as "nacao" or "conservacao",
change form to the "ion" spelling used in Spanish and English.

Por examplo: "nacao" = "nacional"

"conservacao" = "conservationista"

In an earlier period were they spelled "nacion" and "conservacion"?
