I heard a song  called "Wake me up when September ends" (Green day) and I saw this sentence: Summer has come and passed, the innocent can never last ...

How could I translate into Portuguese "the innocent can never last"? Does "a inocência nunca sobrevive" make sense?

How about "os inocentes nunca sobreviverão"?

I think you've got the correct feeling and sense of the lyrics.  If you compare translations of lyrics with the original words, the translators are concerned with the general feeling of the song and not with an exact translation, right?  You've got that now.
