Mensagem:  Jose, "IT" is usually reserved for objects not people. Another way of using a neutral pronoun is by using "ONE". However, many Americans find it to be too British, thus making the person who uses it sound kinda "yappie". It's used mostly in academic English. -Miguel Vieira
