I guess everyone knows who is Elmer Fudd from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

 

Have you ever heard of a fuddy duddy?  That's a person who is old fashioned and fussy.  I think the word comes from Elmer Fudd.  The duddy part probably comes from the word dude which implies the person always dresses in good clothes....like Elmer who has very nice clothes even when he's working in the garden.

 

The question is:  how do you say fuddy duddy in Portuguese?  What are those people called?
