Mensagem:  I don't really have a specific book or site to refer you to. If you were to write "English transition terms" in any search engine, you would get hundreds of links. I have heard that Brazilian students do in fact have poor writting stills. The situation is not any different in the United States. It seems to be a global problem. However, I'm sure if they were to put a little extra effort they would see dramamatic improvements. I'm speaking from my own experience. When I wrote my first college essay I got a (D-) grade. By the time the course was was over, I went from a (D-) to a (B). On my next writting class I got a big fat (A). At times when I read the papers from that class, I say to myself, "I've gone a long way". It's been less than 3 years, from a (D-) to a fat(A) You can do it too -Miguel Vieira
