Not sure what you're about to add here Dale, but just let me take this opportunity to ask you both something...just came to my mind here...
I was talking to an American friend of mine on MSN some time ago..then I innocently said ;)...I wasn't feeling very well....had waken up with a terrible hangover....cause I had drunk ' a little too much ' the previous night...
He started laughing and said how could that be??...there is no such thing in English...' a little too much'...I tried explaining him I had drunk too much...but just a 'little ' too much....
It was no use..he said laughing he pittied my students..:)
...I know he was kidding me when he said that...:)...but we never ever reached an agreement on such issue...
Now tell me, what's wrong with it guys?? :) Is it something really 'TOO ''Portuguese...when we say..'bebí um pouco/pouquinho demais'(??):))
