In informal English, how do you respond when someone says that they want to tell or ask you something?  Two good expressions are:
Shoot!
Go ahead.

Ethel, I’d like to ask you a question.
Shoot, John.

May I ask you a question?
Go ahead, Lucy.

How about “to leave (town)”?
To get out of Dodge.  (This humorous expression obviously comes from Western movies when the sheriff tells the bad guy that he has to leave town.  Dodge is a city in Kansas, once one of the most important destinations cowherds coming out of Texas.  It is more common among men than women.)

The wife is angry with me again.  I think I’d better get out of Dodge until she cools off.  (Here the speaker is not necessary saying he’s going to leave town, but he is going to stay away from “the wife” until she is no longer upset with him.)

Someone is angry, upset, nervous, etc.  How do you tell him to relax, not to worry?  Among the under-25 crowd, you may say:
Chill.
Chill out.
Cool your jets.
Lighten up.

Lighten up, man.  It's not the end of the world.  Everything is going to be cool.

to be as sharp as a tack = to be very intelligent, clever, smart (This expression is commonly used by people of all ages.)

Nelly gets wonderful grades at school.  That girl is as sharp as a tack.
