Assunto:  to ease into... to ease out of.
Mensagem:  Hi, there, folks! I'm a smallville fan and watching one episode this morning I heard these two phrasal verbs. What do they really mean? I looked them up; yet I did not find a suitbable translation. The translation given in the filme was "acostumar". Was that right?

I just could’ve used more time to ease into it, you know?

Chloe: Clark, you were in love with her. That’s not something you just ease out of.
