Neither his English nor his Spanish is anything to brag about. What bothers me, however, is his use of obscene language. In interviews in English with Americans, I've seen guests wince upon hearing his choice of vocabulary. An American jazz musician asked him once, "Can you say that on TV here?" Jo's answer was, "Sure, why not?" I can swear and curse with the best of them, but there are times and places for rough language. Jo, on the other hand, seems to use every interview in English as a chance to show off the latest swear words he has learned.
