this is a verse from Eye of the tiger:
What's the mening of the bolded sentence in :
Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
Is it like:
I traveled/passed through the distance or
the distance is gone/doesn't existe anymore?
If the distance is gone, of course it has already been passed through, but I mean the "more" literal translation for it.
