Mensagem:  there may be no future tense in English but there are subtle nuances in the forms used to address issues in the future - the concept of future for english language purposes is conveniently divided into two areas: plans and predictions and so ... plans / predictions spontaneous decision/completely uncertain future event - modal auxiliary will decision made/ fairly certain indication of future situation - lexical piece going to firm personal decision / solid prediction - continuous aspect publicly certain arrangement/ certain outcome - base form the so-called 'past' tense is also used to talk about putative future events in English
