Mensagem:  Hello André Well, we can take countries like Nigeria, Zimbabwe, India, and The Philippines, they have English as a second language and their peoples way of pronounce it, of use spoken English is quite different to the countries of the inner-circle (the US, Britain, Australia, New Zealand) and they still use their English, I don't think that English as an International Language would collapse the unit of the language or even change deeply its characteristics, The US has changed English from its "origins", we have changed Portuguese from its "origins", the more people in different geographical positions use one language, the more this language will receive differents and new aspects, sometimes we have a very local use of the language still interchangeble with others (like the nowadays variations of English) and still one communite can create a creole language based on English, but in my opinion this diversion is more healthy than harm. Regards José Roberto
