Mensagem:

Last year I took an American in for about three weeks while visiting Brazil and teaching English at a school I attended at the time. We used to hang out a lot and everytime we raised a new subject he would teach me some new expressions and slang (wich I managed to forget as soon as he took off).  After having the great experience of living under the same roof as a native for a while I started to get pretty excited about the idea of going abroad and get to grips with English. However, I'm kind of stuck down here because it's going to take me more three years until I get my major finished at college. The point is: Would you guys stop your major for a while in order to have an experience abroad? And, wouldn't it make all the difference when aplying for a job?

Or would you rather stay cool down here and not take a risk of being unemployed when back in Brazil?

I'd be pleased to hear as much comments as possible on this matter.

Thanks in advance.

(feel free to correct my mistakes, thanks a million.)
