Assunto:  Gerund/ -ING FORM

1) I will help you as much as possible with travelling here as soon as you can".

I particularly avoid the expression “gerund” because  it in English has different meaning that in  Portuguese.  I say “ing form”. It doesn’t cause  confusion.

Your doubts aren’t easy to explain, but I’ll try.

By the way: In American English you say “traveling” no double “l” .
“travelling” double “l” is British English.

The  - ing form is used after all prepositios – in sentence 1 we have “with” because that the –ing form was used.

2) I will help you as much as possible with the travel here as soon as you can".

In its turn,  here you used “the” after preposition, them I think that sentence(2)  is right too.
