Hi Marco:
I have no idea how to pronounce "Snood" so I am going to ignore it.

Here's what rhymes:
mood - food - rude
good - childhood - brotherhood - Robin Hood - stood
woods - woods

We always looked around and under the car to verify that the little dog wasn’t there. If he was, my sister took him to a safe place. (alternatives: to make sure the little dog wasn't there - put him in a safe place)

My sister started to cry a lot and didn’t stop all the way toward the supermarket.
My preference would be to change the sentence to read like this:
My sister started to cry and didn't stop the whole way to the supermarket.

Great job, Marco!  Keep it up!!!
Um abraço,
Ana
