Assunto:  Perhaps it was not incorrect.
 
Mensagem:  But I feel like the meaning of "however" in both sentences (Orlando's and the one of mine) is exactly the same, so I guess if the Oxford Learner's was correct Orlandos's one must be correct too.


Orlando's one: However she was highly qualified, she didn't get the job.

Fabricio's one: However carefully I explained, she still didn’t understand.

If it were "However highly qualified she was,
she didn't get the job" (is this inversion possible?) it would be correct to use however??
