Sometimes I feel
Like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel
Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
The City of Angels (The City of Angeles = Los Angeles, California)
Lonely as I am
Together we cry

I drive on her streets
'Cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills
'Cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds and
She kisses me windy (This is a strange comment.  Except around December, LA is rarely windy.)
I never worry
Now that is a lie

I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day (What happened?  Does he refer to it below?)
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way ("I want you to take me all the way back to the place-moment that I love.  I want to be where/how I was before.  Don't abandon me before I reach this goal.")
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way (yeah yeah yeah)

It's hard to believe
That there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe
That I'm all alone
At least I have her love
The city she loves me
Lonely as I am
Together we cry

I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way (yeah yeah yeah)
Ooh no (no no yeah yeah)
Love me I say yeah yeah

Under the bridge downtown (Thee are basic two types of bridges in downtown LA:  freeway bridges and bridges over the Los Angeles River.  It's common to find homeless people living under the bridges although it's against the law.  Drugs, violent crimes, etc. are to be found there.)
Is where I drew some blood (He hurt/killed someone under a bridge, possibly using a knife or broken bottle.)
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough (This could have a variety of meanings.  "I liked hurting/killing."  "I could not find enough to eat."  The first is probably more likely.  If he has a car, he has money for food.  If he has money for food, why is he under a bridge downtown?)
Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away (yeah yeah yeah)  (By commiting a crime, did he forfeit his freedom for the rest of his life?)
Ooh no (no no yeah yeah)
Where I stay yeah yeah
