So do I. I never really got to use these correctly, if at all. I mean, you may want to lie--not lay--down for a while after a hard day's work, while the fruits of your work may "lay" on the table.
Hmmm... can't help thinking the "may lay" part sounds like "melei". Thus, "Eu me may lay" may sound quite understandable even to the deafest of Brazilian ears! :)
The past tense: "Ele me may low". :P
