Oi  Jose Rocha,

 

(a) worries = concerns,  would be my first choice, but it's a level I choice. I think they want a more analytical answer, level IV.
So analyzing the text :

 
"New figures provoked hand-wringing this week when they suggested that Bristish alcohol consumption is rising..."

 
What that means? Protest! They don't believe it - Britain is a society "in denial" about its drinking.

 
So we are left with  "disbelief" and "mistrust" - Hard choice : não acreditam e não confiam. "My final answer is:"disbelieve" - Am I Wrong??????????
