I don't see a connection between "revel/revelry" and "balada".  "Revelry" is a formal word, very much out of date.


Tiago's "to go clubbing" is certainly used.  You can also say "to go club hopping" (hop = pular).  Similar expressions include "to paint the town red, to close down the bars, etc."  Both are old expressions.  Is "disco" still alive?  I thought it had died out several years ago.  Well, I'm hardly a "party animal", so what do I know?
