But what about taking liberties? I can tell you that "take the piss" is very commonly used in the UK when somebody is behaving badly, being arrogant or generally going beyond what can be reasonably accepted. For example, if a car runs through a red light we could say that the driver is taking the piss. I suppose it's a bit like "having a laugh" or "tá brincando" when somebody says or does something absurd.
Is there another way to say this in Portuguese or am I stuck with "tá brincado"?
