I made a mistake. No mathematical symbol designations such as the ones I "provided" ever existed. Yet I have heard of, "superior ou igual a" and "inferior ou igual a," both of which designations share the same preposition a.
Mathematicians certainly will continue to refer to them as the "greater than or equal to" symbol and the "less than or equal to" symbol in any pertinent way.
