What about a family of "bad guys" like cowboys ??
They're all machos, don't respect anyone (they don't need to, nobody dares to defy them), do whatever they want in town.
By a freak of fate (just took this one from Oxford Learner's, I hope it's currently used), tibetan monks arrived in town and lectured people about spiritual values. Soon the bad guys
realize they should no longer behave badly. They decided not to strive about it, they will just let go the bad behavior. They won't try not to do bad things, they will let the process take its time.
(Feel you guys free to correct my sentences wherever needed).
