Mensagem:  'Surely' sounds a bit more natural and comfortable than 'be sure to', yes - less formal.

It is associated with less formal 'country' dialects in certain slangish usages: "will you help me?"  oe "will you remember to do that?" ......."I surely will!" If  I were speaking with a client or in some formal situation requiring great seriousness I would say "Yes, I will be sure to do that"
