Any light you guys can shed on the followings would be greatly appreciated.  

 

 

Pick up steam; (My latest book project is picking up steam)

scavenger hunts; (can I use the word scavenger with the sence of bagger?)

 

laconic stoicism. (winners seems to be laconic stoicism)

 

 what is the origin of this pesky word? It's still rattling around the noggin.

 

Soothsayer, fortune tellers and psychc are the same thing?

Mrs. Munson turned out to be abit loco in the coco ( What'd be the origin of the expression in bold)
