Assunto:  Questioning what I've written

Mensagem:  After analyzing a material that happened to have been written by myself just an hour ago in this same forum, I kept questioning the validity of two expressions employed in it.

First, the author claims to have done a "quick research", but since "research" necessarily means a studious, diligent, or careful work isn't it contradictory?

Second, he (that is, me) talk of "phrasal verbs that we could understand as abolish synonyms". Is it this use of the verb "understand" fair and standard, or would it be "regard" or "read" more proper here?

If these are indeed errors or improprieties, I think the person who wrote them should be ashamed of himself, and I will certainly have a hard talk with him.
