Assunto:  Uso de WAS e WENT

Mensagem:

Amigos,

Pesquisei superficialmente a minha dúvida, mas o sistema trouxe muitas informações e não era exatamente que gostaria de saber.

A minha dúvida refere-se ao uso do WAS e WENT.

Exemplo:

Eu fui viajar ontem.
I was to travel yesterday. - Correto ou incorreto?

I went to travel yesterday. (It sounds weird to my ears)

I'd say: I went to a trip or I went traveling yesterday or I travelled yesterday.

Eu estava viajando ontem.
I was travelling yesterday. - Correto ou incorreto?
Ok

Eu estive viajando ontem.
I went travelling yesterday. - Correto ou incorreto?
Ok

Went is the past tense of the verb to go.

Was is the past tense of the verb to be.

Isn't that easy?

Hope this helps
