Mensagem:  Everytime I get an online (virtual) love card I simply delete it. The other day I received an email msg stating "they" had found a problem with my IR and urging that I type in my full name and my CPF No. The email message spoofed CEF's https website address. I deleted the message. As far as I know, CEF never emails their clients nor requests that they return personal information on any account.

Here in the greater Recife area the police busted an ATM card-cloning gang. The gang also hacked personal bank accounts. Police suspect CEF employees involvement, in that the latter, more than the former, provided some outside help from which the gang individuals benefited. I do not have a bank account with CEF.

CEF = Caixa Econômica Federal.
