"Luau" is a Hawaiian feast.  You certainly don't have to wait until a moonlit night to have one.  And you don't need to be on a beach. 


"Lual" is one of those words that need an explanation.  How would you say "macumba" in English?  "Berimbau?"  How would you say "Georgia cracker" in Portuguese?  "Boondockers?"  Some words are easily translated, and others require an explanation.
