Mensagem:  Dear Ricardo, I lived three years in the USA where I believe I could get some notions about English. These days I was browsing through an English book and I came across a sentence which let me wondering if it could be possible in English. The sentence was: "the boy had black eyes(...)". I wonder if one can say " black eyes" or the right way would be "dark brown eyes". But the way, to have a black eye wouldn't be the Portuguese equivalent " Olho Roxo". Is that right ? Thank you very much Renato
