Mensagem:  The English voiceless and voiced phonemes represented by the grapheme 'th' are interdental fricatives, not stops. Therefore, when correctly pronounced, there must be a release of air and the resulting friction sound. In the production of the voiced interdental fricative as in 'this', 'that', 'these' and 'those', the release of air is normally smaller and the friction sound may become subtle but it doesn't become a stop.
