Mensagem:  Seu professoro disse-lo incorretamente, muito. "so-so" eh mais usado ainda. "how ya doin today?" "Ah, so-so". "how did ya like that movie?" "oh, it was so-so". 'Clerck' is also still much in use for someone who sells things behind a counter. Where it is now old-fashioned is in specific original sense, an office assistant. Terms like 'secretary' or 'receptionist' or 'personal manager' are more used nowadays.
